Contrary to popular belief, I don’t knit! 

I tried it once when I was in high school and seem to remember a very disjointed jumper which was only completed thanks to the valiant efforts and exasperation of my Home Economics teacher. 

I also don’t crochet, well maybe a little bit but only as a means to make a block of colour from which to sculpt the image I wish to convey.  I use wool, hooks and needles exactly the same as I would use paper, pencil or paint.  These are just my materials, the important issue is what they help me to create.
